The Current Sensory Training Kit Includes 4 Contrasting Pairs:

  • SP1 - Arabica Species (India, Araku, Washed-Wet Process) with sugarcane, milk chocolate, full body

  • SP2 - Robusta Canephora Species (India, Natural Dry Processed) with heavy malt, roasted grain, coating mouthfeel

  • GR1 - Specialty Grade Arabica Coffee (Sumatra, Gayo Mtn, Ribang, Washed-Wet Process) with crisp clarity and smooth body

  • GR2 - Commercial Grade Arabica Coffee (Past Crop Fair Trade Organic Mexico Chiapas Aged in Jute) with woody character and flat/fleeting mouthfeel

  • PR1 - Washed-Wet Process Arabica Coffee (Ecuador, Loja Farms Blend) with complexity from double wash/ferment process

Each coffee is sourced and roasted to meet learner needs performing paired tasting exercises per the Specialty Coffee Association’s practical activities in all foundation level courses.

The specific coffees included in your sensory kit may differ from others according to the seasonality of sourcing coffee. Each will be freshly roasted before shipment to achieve the objectives of learning and comparison for the many traits unique to each pairing.

Assume that all coffee is Arabica Species unless otherwise specified and will be packaged as +4oz or +100g - post roast weight.
