The Coffee Brewing Foundation Course by the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is PERFECT for you!
This Brewing Foundation course introduces the learner to the different methods of brewing coffee. The learner will receive theoretical and practical hands-on instruction for a range of devices including automatic and manual gravity brewers, as well as other commonly used brewers within their local culture. Learners will also explore how to produce a tasty brew based on an understanding of the essential brewing elements and an analysis of their brew results.
Course Length: 7-10 hours with combined online course calls, at-home activities and study/practice module guidance. This is an ONLINE COURSE which requires learners to call in and join discussions.
Pre-requisites: None; Introduction to Coffee Course is recommended. Any of the other SCA Coffee Foundation courses are also highly complimentary.

Practical Exam Information: There is no required practical skills exam for SCA Foundation courses. All practical skills, exercises and activities included in the course are designed to help students prepare for future Intermediate certification in-person with an Authorized SCA Trainer (AST).
