Perspectives in Coffee Interview with Kenean Dukamo of Daye Bensa and Tamiru Tadesse of Alo Coffee.
Join us as we unpack a number of fun topics surrounding specialty coffee, Ethiopia, our CQI Q Grader Arabica course, roaster buyer advice and more with two up and coming stars creating change and impact for our industry.
KENEAN DUKAMO
Kenean is part of a family business that is pressing into new developments in specialty coffee, processing, education, training and company culture. They are also preparing to open a specialty roaster and shop in Addis Ababa as the city and nation continue to grow from traditional coffee styles to specialty coffee methods. Kenean offers us a great perspective on how to grow and shift a legacy business with new thoughts and procedures to grow and contribute.
TAMIRU TADESSE
Although relatively new (at the time of filming this) to the specialty coffee industry, Tamiru offers us his incredible perspective as a Cup of Excellence (COE) champion in Ethiopia and emerging voice in specialty coffee and processing. Consider his story as Tamiru offers us a great perspective on starting right and gaining quick traction in the specialty coffee market.
It would be easy to assume that the market in Ethiopia is either entrenched with older incumbents or filled without room for new upcoming starts and stars, but both Kenean and Tamiru offer us fresh encouragement.
PLEASE CONSIDER SHARING AND LIKING.
THANK YOU!
